My first camera
..was an impulse buy
It was 2007. I was about to drive from Washington State down to Arizona — and I figured a road trip like that deserved a camera. I stopped at Best Buy on the way out of town, bought a Sony a100 (because it was what they had), threw it in the passenger seat, and started the long drive.
That was it. No research, no gear obsession, no master plan. Just a camera and a lot of highway ahead.
The early work was what you'd expect — landscapes, roadside stops, the kind of photographs anyone makes when they're figuring out what a camera actually does.
I've been shooting with Sony cameras ever since.
