About

This journal is where I share some of my work. No algorithms, no engagement metrics, no noise. Just photographs and the occasional thought behind them.

The aesthetic

Much of my work gravitates toward black and white — high contrast, grain, shadow. Color earns its place when it has something to say. I'm drawn to documentary and street photography, quiet landscapes, and the kind of moment that doesn't repeat itself.

The Pacific Northwest and beyond

Home base is the South Sound area of Washington State, but the work takes me further — Alaska, Oregon, Florida, and wherever the road goes. The Pacific Northwest shapes how I see, but it doesn't define what I photograph.

My gear

I shoot primarily with Sony mirrorless cameras — the a7CR being my main body — often paired with vintage glass. Minolta MD Rokkors, Zeiss optics, and other manual focus lenses that predate autofocus and carry their own optical character. There's something honest about glass that was designed before pixel counts mattered.

Why this exists

Not for followers. Not for likes. Just a place to share my work.
